At Years 7 - 10, Buckley Park College ensures that students gain sound knowledge, skills and understandings in each of the eight key learning areas identified by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Courses and assessment processes are based on the Victorian Curriculum and Standards Framework II. Course descriptions for each study are available upon request.

 

A special program, English Skills, is available to students in Years 8 and 9 who have been identified through our literacy testing program as being in need of intensive support in this area. With parental consent, these students take English Skills instead of LOTE.

Students also participate in several cross-curriculum, integrated studies. At Year 7 these are "Waste Management" and "Newspapers" while at Year 8 they are "Water" and "The Medieval Festival"
