#IWD2020 #EachforEqual

On Tuesday the 10th of March, Anna Curran, Rebecca Austin, Yarra Nicholls and I (Lucy Nelson) were fortunate enough to represent Buckley Park College at the
Moonee Valley Mayoral Breakfast to celebrate International Women's Day.
As many may know, International Women's Day ce
lebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the world.
The Breakfast aimed to enlighten the issues around the lack of girls’ participation in sport and healthy lifestyles as well as ways to improve the gender balance in these areas.

After having a lovely Breakfast and getting to know some of the friendly Moonee Valley locals, we were introduced to a panel of four women. Each shared incredible stories of their achievements in the sporting industry and in inspiring young women to get involved.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Keilor East Rotary Club for hosting us and for giving us this opportunity and Mr Paul Faci, Buckley Park College who escorted us to the event.- Lucy Nelson YR11.
