Reflection on IT conference
Top right- Chloe Medic and Bottom right- Hiruni Wijayanayaka at the conference online.
Speakers from all over Australia and overseas attended the virtual conference to brief us on their profession, these professionals varied from rocket scientists to software developers. Despite the fact that the conference was conducted virtually on Zoom, the organizers made sure that each student ended the day by learning something new, whether it was related to IT or women in general. I thoroughly enjoyed the conference and met many inspiring women who have made a huge difference in their respected fields. I recommend this to every girl who is interested in learning more about IT and related fields. It encourages girls to explore options, to think about their future, meet people, enter competitions and win prizes. I am looking forward to the next conference.
Kind regards, Anvita Mehta (Year 8)
