As the newly appointed Principal, it is my genuine pleasure to welcome you to Buckley Park College.
Choosing a secondary school is one of the most significant decisions families face. Rightly, families want to know that the school they select will prioritise both the learning and wellbeing of their child, no matter their starting point. At Buckley Park College, our leaders, teachers and education support staff work closely with parents and carers to meet the needs of every student who walks through our gates each day.
Students come to school not only to acquire academic knowledge, but to learn how to learn, how to work with others, how to think ethically, and how to contribute meaningfully to a values-driven community. When students leave our school gates, we want them to be equipped with strong foundations for further learning, as well as the skills, dispositions and confidence to contribute productively to society in a variety of ways.
Buckley Park College is a values-driven learning community to which students, staff and families all belong, and which is enriched by the contribution of every member. The community is strengthened through kindness in our relationships, aspiration in our learning, resilience in the face of challenge, and a strong sense of community responsibility. These values guide our decisions, shape our culture and underpin how we support young people to thrive.
